How-to screen print a t-shirt basics 101 for beginners!

Spend the afternoon in Vital’s studio learning how we print our shirts, and make one of your own!

You’ll get an overview of the photo emulsion based process and go home with a shirt you’ve printed with YOUR hand drawn design. Hands on! You’ll get an overview of emulsion and exposure, suitable imagery, DIY and fancy style press setups, inks, cleanup and more!

The class will be taught by our studio assistant Jennifer Ghormley. Jen received her MFA in printmaking in 2006 from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and her BFA with an emphasis in printmaking in 2002 from Metropolitan State College of Denver. She currently teaches drawing, printmaking, and digital arts courses at Metropolitan State College of Denver, Arapahoe Community College, and other arts organizations all over Colorado. Jen creates artwork under her own name, as well as the recently formed Jen G Studios.

Date: April 28th
Time: 1-5pm
Cost: $60 (includes a tshirt!)

Holiday Handmade!

It’s that time of year again! Two weeks from today is Holiday Handmade. If you are looking to support local, hand crafters, and artisans this is the place to do your holiday shopping. Oh! And Vital will have a booth, so stop by and say ‘hi!’

Holiday Handmade runs Friday, December 2nd from 5 – 10pm and Saturday, December 3rd from 10am – 4pm at the Sherman
Street Event Center at 1770 Sherman St in Denver. As always, Holiday Handmade is free to attend!
