American Players Theater.

APT 2009

We got our APT 2009 schedule in the mail the other day. Combined with temps in the 70’s here, it feels like summer. I have pictures of a picnic, a bottle of wine, and a stroll through the woods at night in my mind. Care to join? See you at the players theater soon.

CPSIA and motorcycles?

this seems a bit ridiculous to me. 6-year-olds driving motorcycles have bigger things to worry about than lead in the alloys that make up cycle frames and motors.

Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).

nindesign

For those of you not familar, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) puts forth much more stringent safety measures for products intended for children under the age of 12. Under the very important auspices of child safety, the Act may have grave unintended consequences: fewer choices for families who are looking for handcrafted alternatives. The act will require expensive product testing that will be unattanble to small handmade businesses. The testing requirement has been suspended for a while, but changes to the act need to be made. Sentor DeMint has sent a message to the Etsy community urging us to contact our Sentors to rally support for a bill he is proposing to fix the CPSIA.

Please visit the Buy Handmade blog for more information regarding the CPSIA.
